In the league, Sevilla are through last seven games without once tasting victory. As a result, their position in the standings board was slumped to the rank-11 Championship with 26 points, four points above the red zone.

"Sevilla had taken the decision this morning to dismiss coach Marcelino Garcia Toral's first team as a series of negative results obtained team, with seven parties without a victory, in that time only two points are achieved," the statement on the official website Sevilla.
"This decision was made after President Jose Maria del Nido and sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Monchi meet with coaches to evaluate the situation. After the meeting, Monchi immediately advise the coach about the decision already made."

Sevilla has not announced a replacement name Marcelino. Reportedly, the former coach of Getafe, Michel, to be a strong candidate.
